The art of doing nothing

If I am honest, It has been a really busy couple of years and I have been doing some kind of wok related activity almost everyday. I suppose this isn't a bad thing as it means I truly love being a photographer and I love carving out a little space in the world that is just mine. I also love collaborating with other like minded souls to create amazing imagery and memories.

But...

Lately is has dawned on me that in order to keep my energy going I need to step  away from my work and literally STOP. Over the last week I have walked away from all of my social media , emails and editing and have tried to limit time spent planning for my business. At first it was a little strange and I felt at a loose end but gradually I am beginning to let go ( it isn't easy!) . Escaping to my favourite piece of paradise on the NSW north coast in Hawkes Nest also helps. This past week I have been reminded that taking time away is the pathway to inspiration. I know taking this break will only make me a better photographer and person to my friends and family

For the next two weeks I will be road tripping to a few places and attending a very good friends wedding in Victoria.

See you on the other side x
